How long does garage floor coating installation take?

How soon can I walk on the floor?

How soon can I park my car on the floor?

Do I need to empty my garage before installation?

Do I need to be home during installation?
You do not always need to be home the entire time, but we need access to the garage, power if required, and a clear work area. We will coordinate the schedule with you before starting.

How do you prepare the concrete before coating?
A long-lasting garage floor coating starts with proper surface preparation. The concrete needs to be cleaned, opened up, and profiled so the coating can bond correctly. This often includes diamond grinding, removing weak coatings, repairing cracks or pits, and checking for problem areas before applying the coating.
Is acid etching enough for epoxy flooring?
Acid etching is not usually the best preparation method for a professional garage floor coating. Mechanical preparation, such as diamond grinding, creates a more reliable surface profile and helps the coating bond better to the concrete.
Can epoxy be installed over old paint or an old coating?
Sometimes, but the existing coating must be inspected first. If the old paint or coating is peeling, weak, contaminated, or poorly bonded, it may need to be removed before applying a new system. Installing over a failing coating can cause the new floor to fail too.
Can you repair cracks before coating the floor?

Is epoxy flooring resistant to oil, gas, and chemicals?
